A superb Home Front helmet for a senior air raid warden with single black stripe, which was the rank marking system adopted nationally from the earlier London system as of 1942. The helmet is one of the earliest Mark 2 1939 issue in khaki factory paint, over-painted in black on the outside and then white before being applied with rank markings . An excellent condition Canadian produced Mark 2 Brodie helmet, liner cradle marked ‘V.N.G.II 1942’. Inner shell stamped C.L./C.1942 43. Some light cracking to the oilskin of the liner system. Complete with its correct elasticated British style chinstrap. Hard to find a better example.  read more

BRITISH WWII MARK 2 BRODIE HELMET DATED 1943.

A mid to late war British Army Mark 2 with textured dark brown paint to the inside and outer. Dated ‘1943’ and made by ‘E.Camelinat & Co Limited’. The liner is a size 7 ¼ dated ‘1943’ and produced by FFL. The helmet is complete with its elasticated Mark 3 chinstrap, some creasing to the oilskin of the liner but generally in excellent condition.  read more
