BRITISH WWII AUXILIARY FIRE SERVICE BRODIE HELMET.
1940 dated liner Brodie helmet, hand painted to the exterior, which has crazed is the lettering ‘AFS’ this was before the introduction of the Fire Service insignia. The liner is complete, marked size ‘7’ dated ‘1940’. The inner liner has solidified and crazed overall with its original sweatband. The inner shell, also nicely dated ‘1939 E C & Co Limited’ with its elasticated webbing chinstrap. read more

All white painted, central black stripe with letter ‘R’ to both front and back of the helmet. The interior rim painted white with rust bleed. Complete with its elasticated webbing chinstrap. The liner is complete and solidified. Faintly stamped makers mark and date, possibly 39 to the fibre liner. read more

Nice condition cap, standard style, mohair centre band, RAF stamped brass badge, narrow chinstrap. Nicely marked to the inside with the maker’s name broad arrow, clear large date ‘1942’ with the size ‘7’ with the other smaller numbers obscured. Some cracking to the internal liner. read more
BRITISH WWII DISPATCH RIDERS 1942 DATED MINT CONDITION HELMET.
Absolutely superb helmet, three or four minor rust bleed spots to the paint finish on the skull. The interior is in totally unworn condition, the white canvas is mint. A good clear ‘BMB 1942’ date with size ‘7’ stamped into the light tan liner. Excellent colour to all the brown ear shrouds and chinstraps. Very difficult to better the condition of this helmet. read more

PORTUGUESE SPANISH CIVIL WAR COMBAT HELMET.
During WWI Great Britain supplied Portugal with steel helmets, these had a fluted bowl and smooth lower brim. This example used by the Portuguese Volunteer Legion fighting with the nationalist forces in Spain in 1936 to 39. A nice rare early dated set of the Mills Equipment holster for the American made and supplied Colt 1911 semi automatic pistol, complete with its matching ammunition pouch, also broad arrow marked and dated ‘1940’. BRITISH WWII 9TH ROYAL FUSILIERS ITALIAN CAMPAIGN BATTLE DAMAGED BRODIE HELMET.
An extremely rare British helmet from WWII being a 1939 liner dated Brodie that we believe was originally issued and used in North Africa. Traces of the original desert paint underneath the further covering of a two colour camouflage used in Italy of green and black.
