BRITISH WWII TANK CORPS OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A nice condition small size, possibly size 55, officers visor cap, complete with its original untouched Tank Corps badge, which has always been fitted to the hat. No moth damage anywhere, complete with its standard wise pattern WWII style strap. Universal pattern coat of arms side buttons. Complete with its undamaged leather liner. The waterproof material to the upper inner crown is partly shredded. Very unusually this cap is an army issue officers cap, inside the sweatband it is marked ‘WD’ broad arrow with the letter ‘J’ over numbers ‘282’, most officers in both world wars purchased their own uniform, only officers with a substantially smaller income were offered issue material.
