The Brigadier rank blue cap worn on dress occasions. Good blue body, no moth damage, Red centre band. Lion over crown bullion and velvet badge. Wide black strap. Universal pattern GR crown side buttons. Bullion trim to the peak indicating the rank of Brigadier. The maker label of ‘Hawkes & Company, Savile Row, London’ to the interior. The leather sweatband complete but slightly loose from the body. Care should be taken in touching the inner sweatband, but slightly moving it back can be seen the label with the original owner’s name of ‘Brigadier Taunton’.
