An extremely rare artefact of the political turmoil of the 1930s in Europe being the 30 inch x 20 inch or 82cm x 63cm banner that was hung from the carrying banner pole and banner top. BRITISH WWII ROADSIDE SIGN, MINES.

A slightly rusty white painted with red lettering road side sign placed by forward reconnaissance troops advancing ahead of the main forces and warning of the advancing troops of presence of mines. A nice set being a press photograph of Dwight D. Eisenhower in full uniform hatless sitting at his desk, accompanied by a lightly foxed headed paper of Headquarters 21st Army Group with the signature of Dwight D. Eisenhower with below the signature of Field Marshall Sir Alan Brook, British Field Marshall, Advisor to Winston Churchill and a further unidentified signature below. Nicely framed.  read more

A fabulous piece of British WWII headdress being the standard jungle hat, size 7. Maker marked ‘Hall & Phillip Limited’ dated ‘1942’. Complete with its original chinstrap and leather sweatband.
