An extremely nice set of horizon blue breeches for an artillery enlisted man. Red piped to each side of the breech. Nicely dated ‘1918’, maker marked to the cotton lining. Good nap to the cloth. French clothing invariably was nearly or totally destroyed by moth damage from the conditions they have been kept in, fortunately this has very minor moth nips around the crotch area. A very nice condition 2nd pattern Brodie combat helmet from WWI. Rough sand finish, all paint remaining. To the interior the oilskin liner excellent, stamped size ‘7’ to the internal strap. The large rectangular red ink stamping of ‘Brodie Steel Helmet, War Officer Pattern’ to the inside of the oilskin. Minor moth damage to the upper inner crown felt pad.
