Extremely nice condition. Very large size, possibly 58 or 59. The helmet shell retains much of its original horizon blue finish with one small patch on the rear left hand side of the skull, which is thin. AMERICAN WWI M.17 DOUGH BOY HELMET.
An unissued condition dough boy helmet, size 7 1/8th. The liner is stamped ‘R.H.Long’ with a date ‘7/18’. Only light storage age, a few marks from another helmet laying on top of it, which can be cleaned off. The helmet liner has seen some wear but is intact and has not suffered from what is known as American red rot. American chinstrap present. read more

We have been fortunate in the past 18 months to obtain two other Serbian helmets and here we have a third. Evidence of long term storage, covered in dust and subdued paint, some losses but still with its rather dry chinstrap and 10 tongued liner. The helmet shell is large. read more
