A typical example of the mid weight brown cotton canvas bag, which has some nice issued/makers stamps and clearly marked ‘1918’. Original user’s name ‘Sergeant Obee’ hand applied to the exterior. Remains of what appears to be a paper label on the base.  read more

BRITISH WWI WELSH KNIFE.

A fine example of the ultra rare Welsh knife. Designed in 1916 by the sculptor Felix Joubert and patented by himself as a new or improved Welsh knife. It was based on the ancient Welsh weapon. An unknown but limited number of Welsh knives were manufactured by the Wilkinson Sword Company, ordered by Lord Howard DeWalden. BRITISH WWI 1907 SWORD BAYONET WITH 1914 FROG AND LEATHER HELVE STICK HOLDER.

The 1907 bayonet with excellent blade, multiplicity of markings, wood grips undamaged with its 1914 pattern grained brown leather frog and matching helve stick holder, the leather holder marked ‘HGR 1915’.
