A standard rimless WWI 1st pattern Brodie helmet, its liner is complete, the chinstrap is half complete. On either side of the helmet is fitted a SLI brass shoulder title, A cap badge of the Somerset Light Infantry fitted to the front,. We do not believe this to be a combat application but possibly the wearer’s souvenir and memories of his First World War service. An interesting Brodie helmet.
