BRITISH WWI HOOD TUBE GAS HELMET WITH BAG AND INSTRUCTIONS.

An extremely rare artefact from World War I being the hood/tube gas hood in its original carrying bag. The hood made in the blue shirt material has various rust stains, the rubber valve has solidified and broken away, both glass lenses complete and unbroken, what appears to be rodent damage evidence to the rear the top of the hood. accompanying the hood is the original printed sheet instructions on how to use and care for the tube helmet. It would appear the collector probably obtained the hood and bags and instructions at different times and has put them together, the hood/tube is in a worn and stained condition, the outer carrying bag with shoulder strap in a much better condition, the hood itself fits into a much smaller bag in the first instance then is placed in the larger bag, therefore all four elements we are offering appear to have been obtained at different times.
