GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN GUARD OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE.

A good large size, possibly 57 or 58 all leather pickelhaube of a Prussian Guard officer. Slight crazing to the skull, which has sunken slightly to the crown. The front and rear peaks both slightly congealed but both firmly affixed to the main body, with its non removable tall gilded spike, gilded back strap, large impressive Prussian Guard front plate with its overlaid white metal Guard Star with undamaged enamels and central motto. A correct set of flat chin scales and both national and State officer quality cockades. The front peak trim is undamaged, with its slightly restored leather sweatband , original blue satin inner lining.
