GERMAN WWII OAK LEAF HERRINGBONE TWILL PATTERN TROUSERS.

The incredibly rare pair of oak leaf pattern herringbone twill SS camouflage trousers, heavily restored. The lower part of the trousers from the crotch downwards are excellent and undamaged. The upper part have had to be reconstructed in the following manner:- to the lower right thigh area a section of patched material using the identical blurred edge oak leaf pattern in herringbone, the upper part close to the waistband a pair of army green herringbone trousers have been utilised to expertly reconstruct the camouflage trousers and to give them a look and some body, this can easily viewed on the web images. Because of the rarity of this pattern of camouflage it has been thought worthwhile undertaking this massive task of reconstruction. Recently purchased from probably the best combat uniform and equipment collection in the United Kingdom comprising Army tropical, Waffen SS, Luftwaffe paratrooper and many other items of the same genre. The collection was begun by the then 15 year old boy who used to visit our own shop in London in the very early 1980’s and has built this collection up over 40 years culminating in the writing of excellent books on these subjects.
