Nice condition cap, no moth damage. Size 6 ¾ Imperial, with its high quality double headed eagle cap badge. Wide front chinstrap with its rear strap. Eagle side buttons. BRITISH WWII AUXILIARY FIRE SERVICE BRODIE HELMET.

1940 dated liner Brodie helmet, hand painted to the exterior, which has crazed is the lettering ‘AFS’ this was before the introduction of the Fire Service insignia. The liner is complete, marked size ‘7’ dated ‘1940’. The inner liner has solidified and crazed overall with its original sweatband. The inner shell, also nicely dated ‘1939 E C & Co Limited’ with its elasticated webbing chinstrap.  read more
