Another fine example from the Michael Baldwin collection, this all leather field grey fitted Bavarian Chavauleger helmet having the large Bavarian front plate in field grey, its fluted spike, large cross base, matching front peak trim and rear skull trim. Another example from the Michael Baldwin collection, a completely untouched small size all leather pickelhaube for a Saxon Artillery Unit. Rear peak stamped ‘B.A.X 11’ with date ‘15’. Some congealing to the leather skull behind the field grey Saxon front plate, where one of the securing loops from the plate to the helmet has removed itself from the plate.
