A very nice high form field grey officers visor cap, some slight moth tracking but no actual moth holes to the crown. A very atmospheric example in the three colours of green, ochre and tan with black separation lines. The front of the helmet is in a lozenge pattern, the rear matching with small areas of green to the sides. The paint finish overall to the exterior is virtually complete. A very nice relic of WWI being the rare cork pickelhaube covered in field grey field grey canvas in four sections. Front and back peaks securely attached to the main body. The age of the front plate matches exactly the age of the spike and circular spike base. Both the national and state cockades are in place but the chinstrap is missing.
