A scarce Picklehaube for infantry regiment 88 . The faint remains of the marking of IR 88 can be seen in the rear peak when the helmet is held in good light. GERMAN WWI MAXIM Z.F.12 MACHINE GUN OPTIC SIGHT.

Excellent quality optics, the body of the sight retains virtually all of its crackle finish field grey green paint. The leather eyepieces are intact but slightly loose within its aperture. The field grey bag with leather strapping, used for the contents of the zeltbahn pegs and rods. Oval makers mark with army group marked ‘B.A.IX’ within a rectangle. Nice condition, slight fading but very usable.  read more

GERMAN WWI M.16 HELMET ARMOURED FRONT PLATE.

A ground dug example of the M.16 armoured front plate, corrosion visible overall , also with a slight crack to the plate at the very front, possibly caused by blast damage. No visible markings. A leather strap has been attached by a subsequent owner of the plate. GERMAN WWI 1893 DATED BELT AND BUCKLE.

A rare combination being the 1847 large size Prussian buckle, although rectangular it appears to be square. A couple of minor indentations to the buckle itself. Complete with its original brown belt, which is incredibly rare. Good combat weight leather, to the tip of the leather a rather indistinct manufacturers marking but with a clear date of ‘1893’.  read more

The crank handled fighting knife, 15cm polished blade with Duisburg makers stamp on one side and ‘DRGM’ patent stamp on the opposite side. The flat back edge with the Imperial armed forces acceptance stamp. The blade has slight chipping towards the point.
