GERMAN WWI STICK GRENADE.

The wood haft has suffered from dampness but is firm and all in one piece, complete with its head which has slight corrosion has lost all of its paint finish. Individual belt clip. The head is rusted to the upper threaded cap, the lower cap all intact.  read more

GERMAN WWI UNUSUAL BLOCK CAMOUFLAGE M16 SHELL.

‘SI66’ marked shell, the interior having all of its apple green finish remaining with faint traces of two names hand applied into the rear skirt. Block camouflage of a faded maroon, quite a bright ochre and the base colour of the original apple green. Printed both sides, good clear colour, measuring 395cm x 200cm showing the Iron Cross to the top left hand corner within a section of the red, white and black colours of Germany. GERMAN WWI MAUSER 9805 SAW BACK BAYONET, BAVARIAN REGIMENT MARKED.

A scarce saw back bayonet, blade excellent, slight evidence of some sharpening marks, clearly marked ‘Crown’ over ‘Erfurt’ with the Imperial acceptance stamp on the flat section of the blade just below the saw back. A nice condition K98 bayonet, manufactured by Richard Herder of Solingen. Imperial acceptance stamp to the flat back of the blade, regimental markings ‘118.R.5.K.2’. Very slight sharpening marks to the blade. Undamaged wood grips. Faint acceptance stamp to the upper pommel. Rifle retaining button working correctly. A very nice example of the M.1871-84 bayonet hilt with a presentation blade by WKC for South West Africa. On one side the side profile head of the Kaiser with, in German, ‘In Memory of my Service Time.’ On the face side the wording ‘Deutsche-Sud-West Afrika’ with subdued blue with floriate designs surrounding the blueing.
