A rare helmet being the NCO all leather picklehaube worn by a member of the 23rd or 24th Hessian Dragoon Regiment, both of those regiments had all white metal fittings . the leather skull good and strong, minor crazing overall with one small area of loss of the skin to the left hand side of the Hessian front plate as the helmet is viewed, one of the spike cross base white metal domes is missing... read more

Standard lions head hilt, minor cracks to the ivory grip, all grip wire intact, with its non folding shell guard showing the Imperial crown over anchor. An extremely nice condition size 57 ‘1916’ dated Jager Zu Pferde enlisted ranks helmet. All good blued body with spots of rust bleed on the right hand side as the helmet is viewed just above the black and white Prussian cockade.
