GERMAN WWI EAGLE ON A ROCK WITH IRON CROSS IN ITS BEAK CLOCK.

A very impressive clock and eagle measuring 58 cm in height 34cm in width, 15cm in depth featuring a clock to the centre 4 legs, surmounted by a fabulously styled eagle seated on a rock formation with the Iron Cross of 1914 within its beak. A shortened at one end cap tally for the Marine Flieger Abteilung number 2. Silver weave to the lettering. Overall excellent condition. At one area the weave of the material has shredded and the tally has been strengthened on the reverse side in two places.  read more

GERMAN WWI WOOD GRIPPED FIGHTING KNIFE.

Very good condition blade, complete with its original leather washer. Wood grips undamaged, fitted into its metal scabbard, which appears to have been restored. Slight indentation with a complete and undamaged leather belt loop and hilt retaining strap, with its male/female closure system working correctly but male section is fragile.

As WWI progressed sniping from the trenches became more prevalent, the German Army found themselves short of sniper scopes and managed to purchase either privately or commercially many sniper scopes used on hunting rifles pre WWI.
