GERMAN WWI TRENCH KNIFE.

An unusual trench knife having a 14.5cm double edge blade, some minor spotting but with good profile. All steel hilt with wood ribbed grips all undamaged. Fitted into its absolutely correct flat type scabbard that does not have any fixture for a frog, this would have been fitted with an unusual bayonet type frog, the throat of the scabbard has a very wide lip allowing a small leather frog to butt up against this wide lip and stay in position.
