Generally good condition being in a clean barn find condition officers helmet of the 1st and 3rd Battalion of Grenadier Regiment 89. The all leather skull is undamaged but with minor distortion, the front and back peaks are securely attached to the body with all stitching strong. All of the gilded brass fittings have subdued to a dark toning. To the interior the original leather liner is present with its inner cloth liner. Unfortunately the Mecklenburg cockade is absent. A rare helmet.
