GERMAN WWII M35 WAFFEN SS DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET.

A very fine example from the superb collection of helmets that has been consigned to us. E.T. 64 sized shell, batch number 3874. The early apple green finish all intact, the three liner retaining rivet heads have at least 70% of the original paint finish remaining, the right hand SS decal is of the C A Pocher production with the early runes, the left hand side party decal is a ET produced example, chipping as can be seen to the party field, no damage to the SS runic shield. To the interior the liner having good colour and is complete with its drawstring. Pulling back the aluminium band the date of the liner band is difficult to view without misshaping the liner band itself, the first number of the date sequence number 1 appears to be weakly stamped, the last three digits appear to be 938 or 939. Accompanying the helmet is the original certificate of authenticity from the original seller of the helmet Kelly Hicks, who is a well-known collector and author the subject of SS helmet United States.
