The main body of the mount is in excellent order with surface corrosion on one side and a slightly deeper corrosion on the other side where laying in the ground. Two colour camouflage with thin black separation lines of plum and green. Minor indentations to the crown, original owner’s name label adhered to the inner rear skirt, a member of 5th Squadron 3rd Chev. Rgt. The M.16 liner all complete with its original drawstring and have replaced felt pads to the inner liner, complete with leather chinstrap.  read more

GERMAN WWI M.17 CAMOUFLAGE COMBAT HELMET.

Skull marked ‘Si66’ having a rather subdued three colour camouflage of light tan, green and plum with medium size black separation lines, much of the colour remaining but toned. Complete with its M.17 metal band, all three inner pads are present but very loosely attached to the metal band. Complete with a reproduction chinstrap.  read more

An excellent example, possibly size 56 or 57, which is quite large for a WWI officer, universal field cap with sage green centre band and matching piping around the crown. Adjustable black patent leather chinstrap, Reich and Bavarian cockades, brown lining with maker’s name and address ‘Armin Ketelsen’ of ‘Cuxhaven’ printed in silver into the upper inner lining.
