GERMAN WWII AFRIKA KORPS PANZER NCO COMBAT TUNIC.
A fabulous large size 1st pattern tropical tunic worn by a NCO in a Panzer unit. A heavily bleached tunic, on lifting back the collar and the pocket flaps the original colour and clearly be seen, fitted with a matching set of slip on tropical Panzer shoulder boards with the piping in pink silk, tropical coloured NCO lace, with matching lace to the collar of the tunic, tan on blue Bevo factory applied collar patches, hand applied Bevo woven first pattern breast eagle. To the first and second button hole of the tunic traces of thread where presumably the Iron Cross ribbon was fitted and has since been removed, the colouration of the tunic materialin that area would confirm that, loops to the upper right breast pocket for one award, which by the size we are presuming is a wound badge. Faint traces of the original manufacturers size markings to the interior. The tunic becomes now more intriguing, to the lower right hand sleeve there is a unbleached section of the sleeve which measures 3.5 cm in width, this is wider than a standard Afrika with palms cuff title, unless a private purchase Afrika palms cuff title is fitted, however due to the date this tunic was constructed and worn being the first pattern and the date that the Afrika with palms cuff title was issued we have to assume that this possibly could be a Propaganda company cuff title or Führerheadquarters title. To the rear back panel one L-shaped stitch repair measuring 7 x 5 cm, both cuffs have been strengthened using unbleached tropical material, a highly intriguing and totally original Afrika Panzer tunic.
