FRENCH WWI CHAUCHAT MACHINE GUN.

A good display worthy example of the French WWI machine gun known as the Chauchat. This has been part battlefield recovered and does have light corrosion overall, it is complete with its original magazine that also shows signs of corrosion, its bipod, the wooden steadying handle forward of the wood grip is a replacement, there is a wood grip also a replacement as is the wood stock. The bipod legs are in a far better condition than the remainder of the gun and would also appear to be replacements. The gun is de-activated and is complete with its new European Union certificate. Ideal for display. The weapon would benefit a French WWI trench display.
