A very fine example of the scarce saw back K.98 bayonet. Maker marked ‘Gottlieb Hammesfahr, Solingen’. A nice clear Imperial acceptance stamp on the flat back section of the blade. GERMAN WWI IMPERIAL ARMY PRUSSIAN OFFICERS COMBAT BELT.
The perfect belt for displaying with a field grey tunic is the brown leather field service belt, this good with good proportions with both of its original leather runners present. The field grey Prussian buckle retains a good degree of original finish. The removable double pronged keeper that was original with the belt has been lost and has been substituted with an aluminium later period keeper. read more
