Attached to its woollen band is the very nice multi constructed in bullion wire velvet and metal the Royal Naval officers cap badge. A standard Brodie pattern helmet with the three drilled holes and either side of the skirt indicating a non combat service with the faint stencilling of the letters ‘MTS’ to the face side. Some rust bleed coming through the paint finish, with its original liner, marked size ‘7 ¼ dated 1941 with its rather frayed webbing and elasticated chinstrap.  read more
