The woollen collarless shirt worn underneath the battledress, long sleeve, metal buttons to the cuffs. The shirt would appear to be large size, heavily stamped ‘S over R, broad arrow with number ‘19’ also the letters ‘MG’ with broad arrow close to a number ‘2’. BRITISH WWII HOME FRONT BRODIE HELMET.

Standard Brodie helmet, two indentations to the crown, painted black with the letter ‘A’ stencilled to the front. The inner liner is size stamped and dated ‘1939’. Original owner’s name hand painted in green paint to the inner shell, also some scratched initials. The shell is dated ‘1939’ with makers stamp ‘JSS’ with its elasticated chinstrap.  read more

BRITISH CHURCH MEMORIAL PLAQUE.

A heavy brass plaque measuring 45 x 31cm reading ‘IN LOVING MEMORY OF MAJOR GENERAL SIR W.L.O. (OLIVER) TWISS K.C.I.E C.B., C.B.E. MC. COLONEL 9TH GURKHA RIFLES 1879 TO 1962’. This is a heavy item and shipping will be expensive. Major General Twiss servied in France in WWI from 1914 to 1917, he commanded the 2nd/9th Gurkha Rifles between 1920 to 23, awarded MC 1916. BRITISH FIELD AID POST BRODIE HELMET.

A nice condition Home Front helmet being the standard Brodie helmet painted in black with its clearly stencilled letter on both sides ‘FAP’ indicating Field Aid Post. Complete with its liner and its elasticated webbing chinstrap. The fibre sections of the liner marked size ‘7¼’ and date ‘1938’ plus makers mark.  read more

BRITISH NAVAL CLOCK.

A brass bulkhead clock with a 12 hour dial in Roman numeral, second hand present with the name of ‘Dobbie McInnes & Clyde Limited’ to the face. The clock would appear to be inoperable at the present time, it is placed on a wooden wall board. It would appear that Dobbie McInnes were nautical and instrument makers and contractors to the British Admiralty.  read more

A mint matched pair of 1942 dated flying gauntlets. All fittings intact, unworn condition. Over the date ‘1942’ is a crown that would appear to be either Swedish or a country with a similar shaped crown, this can be observed from our web images.  read more

A superb military issue kukri that has been personalised by its wearer. Standard kukri shape, blade dark overall, one chip to the blade close to the point. Faint markings plus the last digit in the date ‘43’.
