US WWII IKE JACKET & TROUSERS.
An excellent ensemble being the chocolate Ike jacket made from barathea of the finest quality with a good with a good New York label to the interior as well as details of the original owner being a Captain Beverly Jones and a date of '1945'. This particular officer had a interesting career and served after WWII in support of the formation of the Iraqi forces. The tunic is in wonderful condition with a lovely unfaded colour throughout and with all signals insignia attached to the collars in a beautiful enamelled clutch backed fashion, with Major's rank to the epaulettes and two divisional insignias. The trousers, although not part of this outfit are his property and are a typical pair of olive green wool trousers that would have been worn for combat wear. A stunning set.
