BRITISH WWII - TELLING A FRIEND MAY MEAN TELLING THE ENEMY - POSTER.

A rare survivor of WWII, an image showing four pairs of friends talking, measuring 76cm x 50cm, printed 1942. Considerable damage and staining, at present protected by plastic, many splits, nevertheless a rare poster. It appears that there are two versions of this poster, one in the top left hand corner showing a Royal Navy man talking with a female, our example shows an RAF man.  read more

A rare letter on crown headed paper typed address ‘HMS Kelly c/o GPO London’ dated ‘22nd April 1941. Hand written ‘Dear Mrs. Botham’ followed by typed text ‘Commander Walker has written to tell me of the closing down of the Royal Naval Club at Immingham’ he carries on talking about the Royal Naval Club and thanking Mrs Botham for all her hard work.
