An all steel ersatz bayonet. The blade is generally good, single fuller with some cleaned corrosion. The all steel hilt showing signs of cleaned corrosion. Rifle retaining button mechanism working correctly. Fitted into its stamped steel scabbard, which has lost its paint finish and has two indentations.

A slightly battered two-piece buckle in brass and nickel, the nickel overlay has some indentations. On the reverse side the clip is in place and its heavy duty double pronged belt fixing system.  read more

A superb quality nickel and gilded brass rectangular buckle, the nickel overlay plate having the motto ‘Gott Mit Uns’ with a large raised rounded edge crown. Double pronged belt fixing system.  read more

Towards the end of WWI when shortages were evident the buckles amongst many other things were painted on one side, this Bavarian enlisted mans buckle is field grey painted to the exterior, plain steel to the interior, a two-piece constructed buckle with its inner clip and its steel double pronged belt fixing system.  read more

GERMAN WWI COLONIAL OR SEE BATALION BAYONET.

A very fine example of the Mauser 71/84 bayonet with excellent bright blade. To one side it has a panel with the Colonial style crown and ribbon with the Imperial style eagle below. GERMAN WWI SOLDIERS BACK PACK/TORNISTER.

Mid war type in olive drab canvas and brown leather. Karlsruhe maker’s stamp on the top leather rear section and repeated on one shoulder strap, the opposite strap appears to be a replacement. Regimentally marked in red ‘J.R 88’ which is the 2nd Nassau Infantry Regiment No.88. Original soldier’s name ‘Deckelburg’ applied in backing on the reverse canvas. A very nice condition all one-piece tin Pickelhaube, good black finish overall, with its subdued brass spike, spike base, Prussian front plate. A nice grouping comprising the World War I Iron Cross second class, the Hesse bravery medal of World War I, the Third Reich 1934 awarded War Honour Cross 1914/18 medal with swords. Nicely mounted with pin back suspension.  read more
