GERMAN 1870 IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS.

A 1870 Iron Cross 1st class with a later adapted pin, hook and hinge system. The recipient has had a much larger hinge fitted to a back plate, the pin with ‘835’ silver German markings with a hook with an equally wider back plate fitted. Slight rubbing to some of the paint finish on the ‘W’ the ‘1870’ and on the crown.  read more

A good mid upper size all leather pickelhaube for an officer in Saxon Leib Grenadier 100. Skull good with crazing and some congealing overall, both peaks firmly attached to the main body.
