A good mid upper size all leather pickelhaube for an officer in Saxon Leib Grenadier 100. Skull good with crazing and some congealing overall, both peaks firmly attached to the main body. Nicely detailed and beautifully struck 5.5cm medallion showing on the obverse a German soldier and what seems to be a gypsy robber attacking German women. The reverse has a large vehicle with sides marked ‘MUNCHEN, BERLIN’ probably loaded with loot being pushed by two people wearing top hats with the word ‘MALZSCHIEDER’ to the top edge.  read more
