A rare helmet of the Landesgendarmerie, virtually identical in form to the 1st Prussian Guard Dragoon Regiment, this example marked to the interior ‘LG15’. A superb condition straight wood handled fighting knife. Wood grip still with good light colour, all ribbing complete. The blade is extremely good, very faint traces of sharpening at the point but much cross grain finish remaining. A nice condition standard fighting knife, generally good blade, some light rust close to the cross guard and signs of minor sharpening. A nice example of the long wood ribbed grip knife, the blade generally good, no corrosion, slight staining. There is minor evidence of sharpening to the sharpened edge, still with its original leather washer. Grips undamaged.
