GERMAN 1870 IRON CROSS 1ST CLASS.

A 1870 Iron Cross 1st class with a later adapted pin, hook and hinge system. The recipient has had a much larger hinge fitted to a back plate, the pin with ‘835’ silver German markings with a hook with an equally wider back plate fitted. Slight rubbing to some of the paint finish on the ‘W’ the ‘1870’ and on the crown.  read more

A rare sniper sight for the GEW98 rifle of WWI. Manufactured by Emil Busch of Rathenow. Marked to the sight ‘VISAR 4½ DRGM’ with gun number ‘6284’ stamped just below the adjustment wheel. A large size all leather pickelhaube, the body is slightly congealed, both front and rear peaks are firmly attached to the main body, unusually the front brass peak trim has not been kinked on the inside, all other fittings in brass with its large Griffin Baden front plate.
