A very nice brass banded mahogany carrying case for a military field surgeon's kit measuring 45 x 17cm. Oval disc to the lid, brass disc reads'Surgeon instruments' broad arrow marked, date '1901'. The upper inner lid is lined in purple velvet. A maker's label of 'Evans & Wormull 31 Stamford Street, Blackfriars, London'. The base has three surgeons knives only. All remainder of instruments missing. read more
