BRITISH VICTORIAN NAVAL OFFICERS WAIST BELT AND SWORD KNOT.

An all leather belt with very nice condition gilded Victorian Crown buckle for a Victorian naval officer with his leather sword slings with all sprung loaded catches present and working. A nice condition helmet plate for the Hertfordshire Rifle Volunteers blue cloth helmet. Standard gilded officers back plate with the Hart of Hertfordshire in a white metal overlay. Both fitting lugs remaining to the reverse side. Some black paint loss to the star.  read more

BRITISH BOER WAR FIELD SURGEON'S INSTRUMENT CASE.

A very nice brass banded mahogany carrying case for a military field surgeon's kit measuring 45 x 17cm. Oval disc to the lid, brass disc reads'Surgeon instruments' broad arrow marked, date '1901'. The upper inner lid is lined in purple velvet. A maker's label of 'Evans & Wormull 31 Stamford Street, Blackfriars, London'. The base has three surgeons knives only.
