GERMAN BAVARIAN GENERAL’S HAT.

A rare piece of headdress being the 1838 Bavarian Generals bicorn headdress, constructed in a basic felt material, with its inner sweatband and brushed cotton lining, which is slightly shredded. Rubbed corners with the lacework insignia of a Bavarian General. It is original box, which has suffered badly, the sides of the lid are mostly missing, with an old paper label reading ‘MUNICH CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION’ (in German).
