A good untouched size Q62 model 1935 double decal combat helmet that has been over painted in accordance with the 1940 regulations of eliminating the national tricolour. A good E.T. 68 sized shell that has rust bleed over approximately 70% of the paint finish, thankfully the twin decals have not been affected and are good and clear, no batch numbers stamped to the inner rear skirt. A badly moth eaten felt covered aluminium water bottle, the neck of the bottle is marked ‘SSS 8 39’ with its Bakelite screw top. All of the four closing press studs to the cover are fully operational. The leather strapping arrangement appears to be a replacement. Ideal for mannequin display or re-enacting.
