A superb Type 3 RJT Officers sword. A Gendaito Shin-Gunto 1944 model katana blade 67.7cm long and beautiful condition. Signed Noshu Ju KaneToshi with star stamp, dated 1943. Stunning hamon, Interestingly, on close inspection, the whole sword (scabbard & hilt) have at one time been painted completely black, This is a sign that the sword has been used for night raids. A rare set of shoulder boards for a secretary within the German Army Field Post Service. Subdued grey exterior weave inter-twined with lemon yellow between the subdued grey with lemon yellow wool underlay with a further underlay of the Feldpost green wool colour.
