A very nicely produced soft Melton cloth khaki officers visor cap from the Royal Sussex Regiment, the visor also is covered in the same matching material. A classic shape hat of the First World War being the floppy officers khaki visor cap. Slight moth nips to the crown and some nap of cloth missing. BRITISH WWI 2 INCH MORTAR ROUND KNOWN AS THE PLUM PUDDING.

A scarce artefact of the trenches of WWI being a 2 inch trench mortar round with huge spherical head, which is 9 inches, approximately 230mm in diameter. Extremely heavy weighting 19kg the round alone. This has been dug and does suffer from minor corrosion and has been repainted.  read more

An excellent example of an early Brodie helmet, rimless model. Much apple green paint to the interior, the exterior with apple green paint showing over the later hand painted darker brown covering. Regimentals have been lucky enough to buy an excellent and well put together Machine Gun Corps related collection. A most intriguing photo worthy of much research. A very scarce example in khaki serge material, the tunic with four pockets each with pocket flaps, the upper pockets with pleats. To each sleeve is set of sergeants stripes with a circular padded Fleur De Lys badges above. A very nice brown leather face protected goggles with the goggle section being sprung loaded and folds flat. Some wear to the lenses, complete with their elasticated head strap. Some fur remaining to the inside of the leather.  read more
