Two very well framed items, both having typical turn of the century style frames. BRITISH PERIOD FRAMED MACHINE GUN CORPS PHOTO.

An excellent photo of a Lewis gunner operating the Lewis gun in the anti aircraft improvised configuration, this was where a wagon wheel was applied to an axled upright post and the gun was lashed to it thus the item was highly manoeuvrable against aircraft. BRITISH MACHINE GUN CORPS INDUSTRIAL APPRECIATION CERTIFICATE.

A most interesting illuminated certificate for service in the war 1914-1919, this was issued by the Company of Siemen's Brothers, who were a dynamo works in Staffordshire.
