BRITISH BOER WAR MEDICAL CORPS SLOUCH HAT.

A very nice condition and rare slouch hat of the Boer war, worn by a Officer in the recently raised Royal Army Medical Corps, the Royal Army Medical Corps raised in 1898, RAMC units were attached all arms of the British Forces in South Africa, and had huge casualties. This excellent condition Slouch hat with its rare Victorian crowned RAMC Badge. Having very slight moth damage to the skin only the felt, leather strap to the base of the crown, twin tan coloured air vents to the sides of the hat, with its original leather sweatband which has some wear use, and its rare original unbroken chinstrap.
