A highly evocative piece being a Paratrooper Badge produced and maker marked by ‘B & NL’ that has been struck a glancing blow and distorted, it has also knocked off the rear hook but the original hinge is still in place. The body of the wreath is cracked at the tip of the rear wing of the eagle. This was probably pulled off a wounded or dead German paratrooper as a battlefield souvenir. read more
