The silver piping that surrounds the whole crown and the front scallop of the cap has subdued to an extent that it is difficult to differentiate it between the tropical cloth and the officers silver cording, also the inside of the eyelets have oxidised indicating that this cap has been sitting in a damp situation for many years.
