A virtually unworn condition army officers M.43 cap, constructed from the Italian material. Stamped size 56 to the untouched grey satin lining with its pure white half moon leather forehead sweatband. Double button front. Complete with its Bevo woven officers one-piece silver wire eagle and cockade. Some slight oxidisation to the silver officers cording to the crown.  read more

All complete with its earphones, its throat microphones, its long lead and jack plug for fitting to the aircraft. Nice light tan colour to the leather earpieces. Some slight damage to the net finish of the crown of the flying helmet. The single button versions of the M.43 cap are hard to find, this is a hugely service worn cap, stamped size 58 to the interior. Much grease around the forehead area and the upper crown. The nap to the cloth on the peak has worn down to zero through the constant removal of the cap from the wearer’s head. A fabulously rare Civil Defence helmet, painted black with to the front face side in white ink ‘Warden Arsenal F.C.’ maker marked and dated ‘1939’ with its full liner and its elasticated canvas chinstrap. A fabulous condition, good size, possibly 58 RAF Air Rank officers visor cap with Kings Crown with its matching later period overseas cap. The visor cap has three minor moth nips to the lower edge of the cap. Beautiful shape, bright gilt to the Air Rank King’s crown cap badge and Air Rank double row of bullion weave to the peak.
