GERMAN WWII M16 0R 17 DOUBLE DECAL TRANSITIONAL HELMET.

A fabulous example of a M 16 or 17 shell stamped ‘Q 66’. The remains of the original strap lugs can be seen, reused at the early part of the Third Reich period, painted in early apple green with just three minor chips to the paintwork. A battle damaged fabulous camouflage paint finish combat helmet. The shell is stamped ‘EF 66’, batch numbers are indistinct. The helmet has a mixture of tan and green and we would suspect the theatre of use being Tunisia or Southern Italy, the paint coverage is excellent.
