Non maker marked as conforming with the Foerster & Barth design. Good example shown on page 504 of The Kriegsmarine Awards Volume 1. One-piece construction. No separate rivet holding the globe, with its needle pin, wire hook fitted to a circular plate. Faint traces of the Foerster & Barth die flaw to the bottom right hand leg of the swastika. GERMAN WWII EAST FRONT MEDAL IN PACKET BY A SCARCE MAKER.

The zinc type medal, which has lost the silver finish to the M.35 helmet with its separate section of ribbon, in its original titled packet with the name on the reverse side of ‘Friedrich Keller Oberstein’. A now very difficult to find helmet being the M.16 style helmet, this originally being an Austrian helmet re-issued in the Third Reich period to a police unit. GERMAN WWII SPANISH CROSS IN SILVER WITHOUT SWORDS.

A very good quality example, non maker marked, this is the rarest of the Spanish Cross series, only 327 have been awarded. The slight bending of the pin indicates that this may have been one of the awarded and worn examples, most others seem to have been boxed for most of their life.
