A very nice condition all brown leather holster for the Luger PO8, profusely stamped with ink stamp for Army Corps B.A.XI (Army Corps 11). Maker marked and clearly dated ‘1918’ under the flap, and then on the reverse of the holster to the lower section ‘L.Z.A.’ with Prussian style eagle with the lettering underneath ‘H.Hannover’. GERMAN WWII HUNGARIAN FFG BROWN LEATHER PISTOL HOLSTER CDC 43.
Some years ago a large quantity of these unissued holsters were found, none of them had the flap closed and thus we have portrayed it as they were found with the flap open. They were all sold around the world, this is one of the last examples, marked inside the flap ‘For Pistol 37M (UNG) Kal.7.65 MM’. Marked on the belt loop Luftwaffe acceptance stamp ‘CDC43’. A nicely constructed in aluminium oval shaped tinny with the engraved lettering 'Meine Erste' over an art deco style eagle with large block capitals 'TAT'. Below the eagle 'Gau Hamburg' with the date 1936/37. Maker marked 'Karl Will Hamburg' on the revere side, with its tinny type construction.
