An ultra rare piece of headdress from North Africa being a 1st pattern M.40 visor cap in a good size of 57, manufactured by ‘Alfred Valet, Mutzenfabrik Stuttgart- Bad Cannstatt’ clearly dated ‘1942’ heavily stamped ‘57’. A rare piece of headdress from the army being a size 57 officers overseas cap, completely moth free. Silver piping to the crown and front scallop of the cap. Fitted with the officers heavy bullion wire eagle with matching bullion cockade. Inverted V waffenfarbe of violet for the Chaplains Department.
