A very rare barn find double decal Waffen SS combat helmet. The helmet shell marked Q 66 has only faint traces of its early apple green finish remaining, the greater proportion of the shell has rust bleed and in some areas has eaten into the metal. The water filled compass used by German aviators with its flieger numbers on the reverse side. Complete with its water filling, fully operational and having its rare extension strap, which allows it to be worn around the leg of the heavyweight flying suit. An extremely nice set of service used Oberfeldwebel of infantry slip on shoulder straps, white wool piping, dark green centre, two rank pips to each board, with slip on tabs underneath the strap, a complete matched pair.  read more
