U.S. CIVIL WAR COLT ARMY PISTOL.
A very clean example of the Colt percussion army pistol, used throughout the American Civil War. This example with all matched numbers of ‘23332’. Two small repairs to the wood grips. The main frame of the pistol has toned to a grey colour. The action is working excellently. The finish of the cylinder, which has the matched number ‘23332’ has a greater amount of deep blue left with very faint traces of its engraving. To the top of the barrel the ‘Colonel Sam Colt, New York’ address is good and clear. The action is fully functioning. The hammer holds on full cock. Good trigger action. One screw appears to have been replaced. A very clean example of the famous Colt pistol at a very competitive price, no licence required within the UK, overseas purchasers should check their own countries regulations.
