GERMAN WWII ARMY AFRIKA KORPS ANKLE BOOTS.

A scarce pair of 2nd pattern leather and canvas ankle boots are in our opinion second only in rarity to obtaining Luftwaffe paratrooper boots for German footwear. Issued and worn as a pair, all original soles, nails and metal heel cleats are intact. The leather foot section is slightly discoloured but soft and supple leather with the upper part being in the tropical olive drab canvas. Good red ink markings to the interior, date of ‘5.42’ to the inner leather, complete with original leather laces. The boots would have been worn with buckled gaiters or with wrapped olive drab puttees.
