GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN SILVER. 6 RIVET.
A rare variation to obtain in the German Cross series being the silver version of the heavy Deschler short pin, heavily featured on pages 82 through to 93 in the excellent work The German Cross by Dietrich Mairz. This example has been worn, its weight 63.74. The majority of the finish has gone from the raised points of the normally blackened ray. Silvering to the 1941 dated wreath good. Minor scratches to the very high point of the swastika but no damaged to the enamel. Six delicate domed rivets holding the piece together, with its correct pattern short pin. A rare piece.
