WWII CONFERENCE FLAGS.

Three flags, which would have been part of a 5 flag set that were used at either the Tehran or Potsdam or Casablanca conferences of the big three leaders of WWII. All the three flags measure 16 inches x 8inches. They comprise a 48 star United States flag, a Nationalist Chinese flag and a Soviet Russian flag. All are fitted to their wooden poles, the Nationalist Chinese flag has its wooden finial missing and the base of the pole is broken. Some of the flags have suffered through light moth damage and age. On their canvas selvage edge hand applied are the names 'Soviet' 'China' and the American is unmarked. Possibly the reason that the Chinese and Soviet flags were marked were for the people who were setting out the conference tables were unable to immediately identify these two flags whereas the American flag was always easily identifiable. The two missing would be the Union Flag for Great Britain and the French Tri-colour. Interesting historic items, these can be seen in many images of these conferences of the big leaders of WWII set on tables.
