BRITISH SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE VOLUNTEER REGIMENT HALF MANNEQUIN.
A complete half mannequin of a corporal in the 1st Volunteer Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment, circa 1880 to 1890. Standard 7 button closure red uniform, white cuffs and white decoration, white piping to the front of the tunic with white collar, white piped rear skirt. The tunic is totally free of any moth, has superb nap to the wool, beautifully embroidered into the shoulder boards ‘1V S.Stafford’. all of the buttons are the regimental pattern in white metal for volunteers, there is one front tunic button missing. Complete with its blue Glengarry hat with General Service front buttons, South Staffordshire Victorian badge fitted. ‘Size 7’ label to the interior, again absolutely mint, no moth. The uniform is with its complete set of Slade Wallace buff leather equipment with the white metal volunteer pattern belt buckle, correct water bottle, D shaped mess tin with its Slade Wallace cradle and canvas side bag. The Slade Wallace equipment is complete with its bayonet frog, spare ammunition pouch fitted to the cross straps, two front ammunition pouches. A superb set.
